Flavor Profiling
Flavor profiling breaks down flavors into how base flavors are aligned. It looks at the product being developed and compares that to other flavor profile signatures.
This determines whether you have chocolate and peanut butter or orange juice and toothpaste.
Product Fingerprinting
Finger printing builds on flavor profiling and considers other product attributes, market place performance characteristics, demand and consumption patterns, and product alignment mapping.
Fingerprinting helps to clearly understand if the flavor profile is in the right product category, product, and packaging configuration and even where in the marketplace that fingerprint can best perform.
Perception Engineering & Positioning
Perception engineering and positioning focuses on the consumer’s experience with the product before consumption. This ranges from using science-based methods to create brand and product names, color theory for packaging configurations and emotional resonance analysis for developing product positioning strategies, as well as feature/benefits.
